Firewall

School networks often employ robust firewalls for security, but these can sometimes interfere with the use of certain online platforms. In the case of Memento Yearbook, these firewalls may cause access errors, hindering the software's functionality during usage, loading, and saving processes.

If you encounter such access issues while using Memento Yearbook, it's recommended to involve your school's IT specialist to whitelist the following domains:


*.books.yearbooks.me

 *.amazonaws.com


Please ensure that the "*" character is included in the whitelisted item.


Browser Extensions

A browser extension is a small software program that adds custom features or enhances the functionality of a web browse, performing various tasks, such as blocking ads, managing passwords, or checking spelling. Unfortunately, browser extensions can inadvertently block or limit access to certain websites. 


If you're experiencing issues while using Memento Yearbook, try the following:

  • Disable any browser extensions that may interfere with the website.
  • If disabling extensions solves the issue, re-enable them one by one to identify the specific extension causing the problem.
  • Adjust the settings of the problematic  extension or keep it disabled while using Memento Yearbook.

Browser extensions are indicated with a puzzle piece icon. Chrome, Edge and Firefox display these in the top right corner of the browser.

 
Safari browser extensions are available under the Safari menu item.



Antivirus

Antivirus programs can sometimes restrict access to online platforms. To ensure uninterrupted access to Memento Yearbook, try the following:

  • Check your antivirus settings and look for any features that might block or restrict access to certain websites.
  • Add Memento Yearbook to the list of allowed or trusted sites within your antivirus program.
  • If you're unsure how to make these changes, consult with your IT specialist for guidance.


"Failed to Load Book" error

If you receive the message Failed to load book – Please log in and try again, the issue may be caused by an antivirus program blocking access, a browser extension causing incompatibility or cookie caching issues in your browser.


Try the following steps to resolve this error:

  • Whitelist editor.yearbooks.me in your antivirus software. 
  • Disable browser plugins and check if the issue persists.
  • Clear cached cookies for editor.yearbooks.me in your browser. 


If the problem continues, try using a different browser or contact support for further assistance.
