If your cover page or full page layout are designed outside of Memento's editor (eg. using Adobe product, Canva), it is critical that the specific dimensions, margins and rendering settings requirements listed below are followed. Improperly formatted files will not fit your Memento book page and/or print poorly due to resolution issues. Invest a bit of time to setting up your software correctly to avoid costly delays.
1. Verify your book size (8.5x11 versus 9x12), cover type (saddle stitch, perfect bound and/or hard cover) and page count to choose the correct dimensions from the tables below.

2. Set up your page dimensions in your software, being very careful to include the recommended safe margins listed in the tables below. Important content (faces, text) should never extend past the margins. Backgrounds and banners that span the entire page should cover edge-to-edge.
3. Save/Export your designs as 300 dpi JPG files.
4. Upload the JPG files to a Memento yearbook photo album.
5. In Memento's editor, apply the design as a full page background by clicking on the file preview in its photo album. If the design was set up with the correct dimensions and exported at 300 dpi, it should be placed perfectly on your page as a full page background with no resolution warnings.

Hard Cover Dimensions

Do not add spine text on books under 72 pages. Note that 0.75″ / 225 pixels will wrap over the back edge of the cover. Background color/texture should be applied to this area to ensure edge-to-edge coverage but no images or text should be in this area whatsoever. |
