Proofing & Submission Overview

Prior to submitting your book to publisher, be sure to review your pages in detail.  If issues or errors are found after submission, uour publisher may reject your proof after it has been submitted, but it is recommended to use Memento's tools and a proofing checklist to ensure that your book is as error-free as possibly prior to submission.

Be sure to check in with your publishing company to see if they have any special procedures they wish you to follow.

Step 1For team-built books, use Memento's built-in page review, approval and commenting tools

Step 2: Generate a proofing pdf to provide to external proof-readers. For example, ask teachers to review their homeroom classes to make students names are correct and that their entire class is represented in the yearbook.

Step 3: Check the Portrait Manager's Coverage Report to ensure that all portraits that are supposed to be in the book have made it to a portrait page.

Step 4: Use our handy proofing check-list to review your pages.

Step 5:  Submit your book to your publisher. Contact them regarding next steps for approval and ordering. If your publisher rejects your proof and provides feedback, unlock pages/section/the entire book, as required, to make edits then resubmit the book.
